2. Overview of processing and legal bases

We process personal data only where a legal basis applies. Requests sent through our Free Project Review form are processed to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Hosting, delivery and security of the website, including server logs, are based on our legitimate interest in a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics tools and the playback of embedded videos are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future.

3. Hosting and server logs

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Workers and CDN). When you open a page, Cloudflare automatically processes technical data: your IP address, browser and device information (user agent), date and time of the request and the requested URL.

This data is needed to deliver the website, to fend off attacks and to analyse errors. Logs are kept only for a short period and are then deleted or anonymised, unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.

Cloudflare may process data in the United States. Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses.

4. Free Project Review form

When you submit the Free Project Review form we collect your name, your e-mail address, your website or project URL, your description of the issue and, if you provide them, additional notes.

We use this data to answer your request and to prepare the free project review. The form content is stored in our database (Supabase) and sent to us by e-mail via Resend, Inc., which acts as our processor.

We keep the data as long as needed to process your request. Afterwards it is deleted, unless a business relationship follows or statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Admin area

Our website includes a protected admin area for maintaining case studies. It is used only by CG Motive staff. Sign-in is handled by Supabase authentication.

For signed-in staff, a session token is stored in the browser. This is strictly necessary for the admin area to work and is not used for visitors of the public website.

6. Video embeds (bunny.net)

Some case study pages contain videos hosted by BunnyWay d.o.o. (bunny.net). When a video is loaded or played, your browser connects to the bunny.net servers and transfers your IP address, device and browser information and the requested video file.

Videos are loaded on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Where no consent is required for purely technical delivery, processing is based on our legitimate interest in presenting our work (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Google Analytics 4 and similar tools

We may use Google Analytics 4 and related tools such as Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC, to understand how our website is used. These tools are loaded only after you have given your consent in the cookie banner. Without consent, no analytics script is loaded.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as pages visited, time spent, approximate location and device data. IP addresses are shortened (anonymised) by Google Analytics 4 before storage.

Google may transfer data to the United States. Transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards, in particular the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Analytics cookies are then no longer set.

8. Cookies and local storage

Strictly necessary: your consent choice (stored in your browser under "cgm-consent" for 12 months) and, for CG Motive staff only, the admin session. These require no consent.

Consent-based: analytics cookies (for example _ga, _ga_*) are set only if you accept analytics in the cookie banner.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, simply write to v.wendt@cgmotive.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Visitors from the EU can contact any EU supervisory authority, in particular the one in their country of residence.

10. Security, automated decisions and changes

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted transmission (TLS).

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

We may update this policy when our website or the legal requirements change. The current version is always available on this page.
